AB 792 – Bonilla : Requires specified health care service plans and health insurers to provide specified information to the California Health Benefit Exchange for purposes of enrolling those enrollees, insurers, or applicants in the Exchange. Oppose.
AB 1083 – Monning: This bill would prohibit specified persons or entities from encouraging or directing small employers to seek coverage from another plan or the voluntary purchasing pool established under the Health Benefit Exchange. Oppose
AB 1334 – Feuer: Requires plans and insurers to, categorize all products offered in the individual market into 5 tiers according to actuarial value. Oppose
SB 21 – Liu: Requires hospitals to provide information both orally and in writing to the patient, if patient is anticipated to need post hospital care, prior to discharge. Support.
SB 127 – Emmerson: Requires the administrative director, in order to keep the fee schedule for physician services appropriately updated, to annually adopt the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, descriptors, and modifiers published by the American Medical Association.Support.
SB 233 – Pavley: Emergency services and care would include care, treatment, and surgery, consultation could be by a physician assistant in compliance with prescribed provisions. Support.
SB 751 – Gaines: Prohibits a contract by or on behalf of a plan or insurer and a licensed hospital, from containing a provision that restricts the ability of the plan or insurer to furnish information to end users concerning the cost range of procedures or the quality of services performed by the hospital or facility. SB 810 – Leno: Makes all California residents eligible for specified health care benefits under the California Healthcare system, which would, on a single-payer basis, negotiate for or set fees for health care service provided through the system and pay claims to those services. Oppose
