CSBA provides valuable information and resources for small businesses and is a leading advocate for the small business community, making sure their voice is heard in state and federal government. Members receive all benefits including:

  • Categories of Legislative Council members are actively involved in local and state advocacy of CSBA’s issue agenda. The Legislative Councils form issue committees to track legislation on each issue, provide testimony by small business owners and participate in the drafting of legislation that will assist small businesses in California.

Categories of Membership:

  • Legislative Council members are actively involved in local and state advocacy of CSBA’s issue agenda. The Legislative Councils form issue committees to track legislation on each issue, provide testimony by small business owners and participate in the drafting of legislation that will assist small businesses in California.
  • Regular members are small businesses (as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration) with full voting rights and have the opportunity to participate in Association advocacy activities.
  • Affiliate members are private, non-partisan organizations with memberships consisting of small businesses in a local, regional, or state area. Through CSBA, a united small business voice for advocacy provides the total membership greater leverage.
  • Sponsor members are individuals or organizations (non-voting) who provide advice, counsel or service to small businesses, irrespective of the size of such organizations. The only criteria is their wish to support small business.
  • The 240 Club is comprised of two members in each of California’s 120 Assembly and Senate districts. The 240 Club consists of movers and shakers within the small business community. These individuals are part of CSBA’s Legislative Council and have taken on leadership activities in their legislative districts.
